Clear Braces (Ceramic Braces)
Clear braces, sometimes called ceramic braces, give you a quieter look than regular metal ones while still moving teeth effectively. At Mount Pleasant Orthodontics we use them for teens and adults who want solid results without the full metal appearance. The brackets are tooth colored or clear so they blend in better with your natural teeth. Most people adjust within a week or two. Soft foods help at the beginning, and we show you how to brush and floss around the brackets so everything stays clean.
It all starts with a full exam and digital records. We look at crowding, gaps, bite problems, and how everything lines up. Ceramic braces can handle many of the same issues metal braces do. We go over the differences, including how they look and what daily care involves, so you can decide if this route feels right.
Moving forward with Ceramic Braces
Once we move forward, the ceramic brackets get bonded to the front of the teeth and a wire connects them. You come in every few weeks for adjustments. We check progress, change the wire when needed, and make sure things are moving the way they should.
If you want a less noticeable version of traditional braces, a complimentary consultation at our Mount Pleasant office is a good place to begin. We can look at your teeth, talk about whether ceramic braces make sense, and give you a realistic idea of the timeline. Our team is ready to give straightforward information and support from start to finish.
